Southern Chapter is working to implement several education-based programs, among those, is the Southern Chapter PFDE Mentoring Program. This program is an opportunity for floral designers in our region to learn more about the process to become AIFD and practice their skills. Students are given a description of what is required, including specific details to design, product etc and judged and mentored by certified evaluators.
This past weekend, AIFD Southern Chapter participated in the Southern Home and Garden Show in Raleigh, NC. With an estimated 20,000 people attending the show, this was a great opportunity to raise awareness and stress the importance of AIFD and delight with fabulous florals. Featured designers were Jody McLeod AIFD, CFD, Donna Pierce Pittman AIFD,CFD Michael Whaley AIFD, CFD and Carol Dowd AIFD, CFD.
