This year has no doubt been a challenge, to say the least. We faced the devastation and pure chaos that came with COVID virus like we would any obstacle; with determination and the innate ability to not only survive; we actually thrive. We have become a virtual, everything virtual. In some cases, this virtual world allows us access to one another at any time. Southern Chapter’s Membership meeting, other chapter’s, and even induction went virtual. It was a challenge, but we came together and eventually welcomed the virtual world.
Southern Chapter is dedicated to education. Education is the future of industry. Southern Chapter’s Board is a group of some of the hardest working people that I’ve had the opportunity to work with. They give 110% to every project, and Southern Chapter event, and are always available to share their knowledge. I am extremely fortunate to have the opportunity work with this group of dedicated individuals.
I could not end without mentioning the person who has kept me in line and focused. Anyone that knows me knows that can be challenging. Terry has been my “go to” for anything Southern Chapter. Terry Godfrey AIFD is one of the most informed and knowledgeable people I know and always willing to share. Southern Chapter is about the members, when all come together is called MAGIC!
