Feb 23, 2020 - UPDATE: It is with much sadness that AIFD Southern Chapter is canceling FlowerWood 2020 on March 27-29, 2020. We unfortunately did not have enough participation at this time to move forward with the event.
Join us and explore your floral artistry
With another successful Valentine’s Day behind us, AIFD Southern Chapter is inviting designers of all experience levels join us for our inaugural outdoor floral installation.
Similar to North Central Chapter’s “Nature’s Creative Edge”, designers will create nature-inspired floral art compositions on the scenic grounds of ThorpeWood, a 155-acre mountain retreat 55 miles from Baltimore or Washington, DC. The beautiful setting of forests, meadows, an arboretum, wetlands, and native trout streams will provide a diverse backdrop to enhance our floral art.
If you've always wanted to add an outdoor installation to your portfolio, or if you just need a break and want to create for the sake of creating with flowers in the woods, this is the event for you.
