"Don't Be Tardy to the Party”, a fabulous design program by Marlin Hargrove AIFD, PFCI, AAF.

Marlin Hargrove AIFD, PCFI, AAF, returned to the stage April 2nd at the Georgia State Florist Association convention, “Tomorrow the Sun Will Come Out”, at Lake Blackshear Resort in Cordele, Georgia. His program, “Don’t Be Tardy to the Party”, was an entertaining and fun celebration of event design and was co sponsored by AIFD Southern Chapter as part of our "Sponsor a Designer" project to support education in the Southern region.

Hargrove, a Georgia resident and long-time member of AIFD, dazzled the crowd with a variety of work for different events, some of which later adorned the gala cocktail area. The stage was crowded with large and small themed groupings fit for garden parties to Mardi Gras. His designs celebrated gardens, enthroned peacocks and cascaded with colorful umbrellas and were a popular setting for photos while featured in the hotel Saturday evening.

Marlin has his own company, Marlin Hargrove Designs, LLC, and he also serves as a design consultant for the Pete Garcia Company in Atlanta. He was inducted into the American Academy of Floriculture in 1999, and he is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Professional Floral Commentators International. He is an entertaining and popular speaker and inspiring designer.
